Yes. Children need a separate visa to visit Ethiopia. Please note that a business visa is not issued to individuals under the age of 18. Parents who come to Ethiopia with business visas along with their children can apply for a tourist visa for their children.
Tourists can get a visa for Ethiopia by applying online at the Ethiopia Immigration Services website. It takes applicants about 20 minutes to complete the online application form.
Travelers should ensure they obtain enough required documents so that their visa application can be processed smoothly. The requirements for an Ethiopian eVisa are as below:
- A scanned copy of the biographical page of your passport. This passport is valid for at least 06 months from the day you intend to enter the country, with a minimum of one blank page for stamping by the Immigration Officer.
