Ethiopia Visa Photo Requirements

Visitors from other countries must be prepared with recent photos which were taken in the last 6 months as well as a photograph of their passport's biographical page to enter Ethiopia. This means visitors need to meet the following requirements listed below: 

  • A recent full-color passport photo that clearly shows the forehead and entire face.
  • The white background is required for an Ethiopian visa photo. There should be no shadows on the face of the applicant or the backdrop. 
  • The photo can be in any format. 
  • Using a plain white or off-white background.
  • No accessories such as glasses, earrings, etc.
  • The photo has no borders.
  • Important note: Photographs retouched so that your image is changed are unacceptable.
